BRSI* confers awards under various categories to encourage and suitably rewards its members for their scientific contributions for the work carried out in the country (except for Fellows). Nominations are invited and now open for Annual/Biennial Awards for 2015 and Fellows for 2016.

CALL FOR AWARDS ADDENDUM: A new award has been instituted in BRSI with the support of Prof SN Upadhyay from BHU as proposer and coordinator for this with an intention to create an endowment fund contributed by BHU alumni. The award is to celebrate 100 years of establishment of the Banaras Hindu University.
BHU Centennial Award: Members of BRSI involved in Biotech R&D for outstanding contribution above the age of 50 years as on 31st December 2015. Award carries a silver medal, certificate, citation and Rs 25,000 cash.
Terms and conditions: Terms and conditions for this award would be the same as for other awards, except that those who have received Malaviya memorial award of the Society would not be eligible to apply for this award (and those who get this award would not be eligible to apply for Malaviya memorial award).

*The Biotech Research Society, India is a registered non-profit society established with the aim to promote R&D in biotechnology, bring interaction between academic institutes and biotech industries, interact with industries and help them in resolving their problems as well make them aware with the new developments in biotech sector, provide and arrange training in biotechnology, dissemination of biotech knowledge through the organization of lectures, seminars and symposia on scientific programs and societal missions.
